There is always work going on at Aeolidia, and those that do well in this work can be considered for ongoing future work. The hours and role can grow depending on how well you perform, and how much demand there is for the type of developer jobs that we will have going forward. A part-time front-end web developer would start out working about 10-20 hours a week, coding websites for Aeolidia clients.

Front end web development duties include consulting on strategies, features, and functionalities in the planning phase of each project, sharing your knowledge and doing research as the project moves forward, and then moving to code a sites own design themes on Shopify. Typically, a UX Design team works within the larger product team, which also includes web developers, product managers, and data professionals. Web designers generally work within the wider product team, so they will be working closely with web developers, software engineers, Product Managers, and Content Creators, while working on designing compelling products. Web Designers are not responsible for knowing a lot about how the code works, which is what is behind their designs — rather, they are focused on creating something aesthetically pleasing, and making sure users are having a good UX while visiting a site.

A good web designer should provide clients with a document that shows the development process for their site, showing how they plan to approach building a site. Sometimes these ideas will be awesome, sometimes they will not – but the Web Designers job is to listen to them and incorporate these ideas into their ongoing work with the website for their business. In some situations, the Front-End Web Developer may have a responsibility to actually implement what Web Designers created. The lines between these positions are blurred, as many Web Designers are also working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript regularly, and the front-end Web Developer will typically have some design input.

Self-employed and freelance Web Designers often work from home, but they might occasionally be in a clients office. The range of industries which can hire web designers is potentially very broad, since any organization which has a website can hire a web designer either to work on-site or as a freelancer. As a web designer, you will plan, design, and code webpages, using a mix of technical and non-technical skills to create websites that meet your clients requirements. Since web design is such a multifaceted role, your early years will be spent developing the various skills required for this work.

The specifics of what is expected of you will differ depending on your employer, the technical level of web design at the job you are applying to, and the level of the role for which you are applying. The I in this question means the answer is going to vary for each person, as our needs, desires, and local job environments are different. Ultimately, you have to convince the person who needs a developer that you have the skills that they are looking for.
